Moomins and chocolate bunnies

Couple weird thoughts again.

When I'm talking with my colleagues about our home countries everybody are slways pointing out things people will know. Why are you proud of Finland? Xylitol? Nokia is a bit old thing, but one thing you can always rely is Finland the Moomins land, Lapland is a good number two. Everybody loves Moomins and are quite jealous when I'm telling that the actual Moomins land is near my home. They're thinking I'm going out with those white fat things. Normally the conversation ends when somebody asks that aren't all finnish people wearing black, drinking vodka and listening heavy metal, isn't Finland that country which had that weird monster band in Eurovisions once?

Moving on. Spring is coming and at last there's no Christmas chocolates left in the shops. Now is the eastern time, I love eastern. I mean think, that's the time when kids can't sleep because some giantic bunny is coming over to hide chocolate eggs into their homes. I remember still that one Eastern when I oppened my eyes in the morning and saw this huge Barbie egg near my bed, that was probably the best morning of my life till now. Anyway I'm still enjoying the Eastern on the shape of chocolate. And no worries, when the eggs will sell out there would be lots of Halloween sweets ready to replace them.

Parit hassut ajatukset jälleen.

Usein töissä aletaan juttelemaan kaikkien kotimaista, tällöin sun kuuluis kertoa kaikkea siistiä sieltäpäin mistä olet kotoisin. Miksipä siis olet ylpeä Suomesta? Xylitol? Nokia on aika vanha juttu jo, mutta yksi asia mikä ei vanhene on Muumit, lappi tulee hyvänä kakkosena. Kaikki rakastaa 
Muumeja ja duuni kaverit on aina kateellistia kun paljastuu, että Muumimailma on lähellä munkin kotia. Ne luulee, että mä useinkin tapaan niitä paksukaisia. Yleensä keskustelu päättyy siihen kun joku kysyy, että eikö kaikki suomalaiset pukeudu mustaan, juo vodkaa ja kuuntele heavy metal musiikkia, eikö Suomi ollut se maa joka kerran lähetti Euroviisuihin sen ihme hirviö bändin?

Ja eteenpäin. Kevät tulossa ja vihdoinkin kaikki vanhat joulusuklaat on saatu pois roikkumasta kauppojen hyllyiltä, nyt on vuoro rahastaa asiakkaita pääsiäisellä. Itse rakastan Pääsiäistä, se on se yö kun lapset ei pysty nukkumaan, kun jättiläis pupu tulee ja piilottaa suklaamunia kaikkien koteihin. Mä en ikinä unohda yhtä pääsiäis aamua kun herätessäni näin jättimäisen Barbie munan sänkyni lähellä. Se on edelleen paras aamu mitä olen nähnyt. Vielä vanhenpanakin jaksan nauttia Pääsiäisestä suklaan muodossa, ja ei huolia, kun nämä suklaat loppuu niin Halloween herkut on jo odottamassa.

Jälleen tässä olisi random kuvia siitä miten päivä meni.

Days passing by

Time is running.

I've been away for many reasons, biggest ones are: no money, work and time difference. I've been so tierd that everyday after work I've just went straight to bed after work and slept at least 12 hours. Every time I crabbed my ipad about to check what's happening outside my house I remember that I've no internet, and as it's last week of the month I don't have money to top it up either.

That's enough of excuses, let me tell you about my week.

First of all, I really enjoyed the hosptality of Tiina in Helsinki, I also met some of my really old friends around there. Nothing special otherwise. On the last night in Finland while watching Georgie Shore from MTV (to tune up the english spirit) I actually realized that I'm going back to London and now I'm maybe the first time really missing Finland and having this idea of moving back some day in my head.

At last when I got home to Hackney I had to face the cold flat waiting for me. I actually got really sick straight away (damn the person whoever planned the heaters here!). This is why last days I've been dragging myself to work and sneezing at all the customers. Nice init. Now I start to feel better after getting used to this freezing wind we have over here.

But afterall, must say again that it's funny how you start to miss things you used to hate. This time I'm talking about Finland.

Ja niin taas aika juoksee.

Mulla on monia syitä poissa ololle, isoimpina ehkäpä rahattomuus, työ ja aikaero. Oon ollut niin väsynyt joka päivä, että töiden kälkeen oon painunut suoraan nukkumaan ja kuorsannutkin sitten putkeen 12 tuntia, vähintään. Joka kerta kun oon ajatellut avata ipadin katsoakseni mitä muualla maailmassa tapahtuu, havahdun, että ei ole nettiä, eikä myöskään rahaa millä sitä hankkia.

No siinä olikin tarpeeksi tekosyitä, antakaas kun kerron vähän viime viikosta.

Ensimmäiseksi, nautin todella ajasta Tiinan luona Helsingissä, tapasin myös joitain tosi vanhoja ystäviä siellä päin. Muuten taas... Ei oikein mitään erikoista. Viimeisenä yönä Suomessa kun katselin Georgie shorea mtv:ltä (britti tunnelmiin päästäkseni) tajusinpa taas, että pian oon itsekin takasin Lontoossa. Siitä asti oon potenut kovaa koti-ikävää ja kopa pyöritellyt ajatusta Suomeen paluusta tässä joku päivä.

Parasta kaikessa tosin oli se, että kun viimein saavuin kotiin Hackneyyn joutusin kohtaamaan meijän kylmän ja pimeän yksiön. Itseassa tulin kipeeksi heti ekana yönä (kirotut britti "lämmitykset"). Tästä syystä siis oon raahautunut töihin joka päivä ihan vaan aivastellakseni kaikkia asiakkaita päin. Onneksi nyt alkaa jo tuntua paremmalta ja ehkä tämä koti-ikäväkin nyt tästä...

Pakko vaan taas todeta, että on se jännä kun niitä asioita joita ei enää nää alkaa kummasti vähän ajan päästä kaipaamaan vaikka ennen niitä olisi vihannut. Tällä kertaa puhun Suomesta.

Off to Helsinki. Way to spend a train trip: good snacks and stand up comedy. This drink didn't give the dream body, but gosh it was delicious!

In the building my friend lives is probably one of the first lifts KONE has made. I mean look, there's a chair! Ohh luxury.

And ofcourse there's clear insdructions: press "here" buttom if the lift is on some other floor. Close door and gate well after stepping inside and use the bottoms in there.

Last view of Finland, this part I always hate the most. Cry.

There was messages put on ky luggage, two stickers: security checked and heavy. It was only 23kg, c'moon.

Back to home, back to work. Had lots of information to catch up even I was sick. My luck that I had important visit too, this means homeworks. These times I do love the cup of tea even I'm a coffee person. From my new finnish cup ofcourse!

Luckily in London people do have the coolest cars ever.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday -Friends and family

This was a loong weekend, I feel like I've slept three hours during these three days.

Going out in Turku is always interesting... This is because there's pretty much only one club you can go and somehow still you always meet new people and see old friends you haven't seen for many many years, this is in The Monkey. Best thing in Turku is still El Gringo, there's no other place you should try if you like to sit on pubs talking with friends.

Well, I had a great weekend. I still did quite a lot of shopping... Food shopping. I looked for other pair of shoes but didn't find them. Sadly. Weell what ever now I'm about to hurry, I have to go to Helsinki and fly back home tomorrow. (Noooooooooooooooo...) So let's make it easier with more pictures and less words.

Oli taas vähän pidempi viikonloppu, tuntuu kuin olis saanut nukuttua vaan pari hassua tuntia.

Turussa ulos meneminen on aina mielenkiintoista... Tämä lähinnä koska täällä on oikeastaan vain yksi mesta mihin jaksaa/viitsii mennä ja silti siellä aina tapaa uusia ihmisiä ja sitten niitä vanhoja kavereita joita ei ole nähnyt moniin vuosiin, tämä siis Apinassa. Paras asia Turussa silti on El Gringo, edelleen.

Asiasta kukkaruukkuun, mulla oli aivan loistava viikonloppu, ehtisin vielä shoppailemaankin, lähinnä ruokaa. Hain myös vielä yhtä  paria kenkiä mutta niitä ei löytynyt. Nyt kuitenkin pitäis taas ihan just päästä lähtemään Helsinkiin päin, ja huomenna kotiin... Ei halua... Siis tehdäämpä tämäkin nopeimman kautta. (kuvilla)

 Friday, dog theme? We had to get both of Tara's together for a walk, and earlier I had to get my traditional meal from Hesburger. (Go Finland!)

Perjantai, koiria? Piti saada molemmat Tarat lenkille yhtä aikaa ja sitä ennen oli mahat täytetty perinteisellä Hese aterialla. (Go Finland!)

 Friday we started off with home party feelings with my best friends, thanks a million for my girls Essi, Ida and Roosa. Plus their bf's which you always have to bribe with beer. (They stop complaining)

 Perjantaina aloitettiin Idan luota mun parhaiden ystävien kanssa, kiitos mun rakkaille naisille Essille, Idalle ja Roosalle. Plus joidenkin niiden poikaystäville, jotka tulee aina lahjoa hyvillä määrillä olutta. (Ei tule valituksia)

 Gringo, The Monkey. It's funny tho how we never end up taking any pictures in the clubs? But maybe it's better this way...

Gringo, Apina. Se on jännä kun ikinä clubeilla ei tule otettua mitään kuvia, mutta toisaalta, ehkä parempi näin.

 A bit late, but when I saw these Valentine's day theme cups I had to take them. Also continued my finnish collections with 'coins' jar. (On the cups is written all sweet words and I<3U)

Vähän myöhässä, mutta kun näin näitä ystävänpäivä aiheisia kuppeja oli pakko niitä saada, lisäksi täytin Suomi kokoelmia 'kolikko' purkilla.

 These are the best things I've bought during my holiday, dried rye bread and crispbread.

Paras asia mitä tullut ostettua, palttoonnapit ja koulu näkki.

 

I find it inetersting that this is only picture I've got from Saturday. Actually quite sad as it was a good night.

Sunday, we went for a bit early birthday meal for my sister. I Love the Angel restaurant as they probably do the best deer I ever ate. So first half cooked deer and as a dessert I had this passion fruit pudding with chocolate and strawberries. Ahh this was a good one. Later on the evening I took my last change to see my friends and went for a lot of coffee.

Now I really have to get myself ready and pack up. Got to catch my train to Helsinki at three! Cu!

Sunnuntai, mentiin perheen kesken aikaiselle synttäri päivälliselle siskon kunniaksi. Oon aina rakastanut Enkeli ravintolaa, sillä ne tekee parhaat peura ruuat mitä olen ikinä maistanut. Tosin puolikypsä peura ei välttämättä ollut ihan paras vaihtoehto juhla illan jälkeen... Anyway jälkkäriksi otin passion hedelmä vanukasta mansikoilla ja suklaalla, ja kyllä maistui!

Loppu illan käytin vielä hyväkseni ja näin joitain ystäviä, ja tuli aika paljon sitä kahvia kitattua näin vaihteeksi.

Nyt täytyykin sitten ihan oikeesti alkaa menemään, pitää ottaa juna kolmelta Helsinkiin. Nähdään!

Thursday - Valentine's day

Well I didn't do anything romantic buut what ever. I saw couple good friends and went shopping with mum again. (round 2)

Noo eipä ollu mikään romanttisin päivä mutta mitä väliä. Näin taas pari hyvää kaveria ja menin shoppailemaan äidin kanssa.

I didn't find anything really, cosmetics again, and SHOES! Yayy, fell in love with these killer boots from Dinsko. Also had to update my finnish music collections and got Paleface's cd.

En oikeestaan taaskaan löytänyt mitä hain, mutta kosmetiikkaa ja ihanimmat kengät lähti mukaan! Piti myös päivittää Suomi musiikki kokoelmat ja nappasin cd:n Palefacelta.

 Nailpolishes from MaxFactor and Sally Hansen. Also found the eyshadow set I've been looking for from Loreal.

So that was my mum day round 2 in Mylly, shopping centre in Raisio. At home we were just watching tv shows and later on I took my dog Hessu out for looong walk. I feel like the time is flying here, I don't want to even think about going back to London yet! Well today I'm going out with friends, and sure I'm going to enjoy it!

Siinä se meni äiti päivä round 2 Myllyssä (ostoskeskus Raisiossa). Kotona sitten vaan katsottiin telkkaria ja vein koirankin piitkälle lenkille. Aika tuntuu lentävän näin lomalla, en halua ees ajatella Lontoseen paluuta. No tänään lähden ulos kavereiden kanssa ja varmasti tulee olemaan loistava ilta!

Wednesday -Mum&Daughter day

Best day ever, love my mum and love to spend time with her. Weather was great 0 degrees, lots of snow and such a lovely sun shine. Good day to go and chill around Turku central!

Paras päivä, rakastan äitiä ja on ihana päästä viettää aikaa yhessä. Sää oli aivan loistava nolla keli, paljon tuoretta lunta maassa ja ihana auringon paiste. Hyvä päivä viettää Turun keskustassa!

We had this delicious meal in Fransmanni, I ate some over cooked bull and as a dessert I got chocolate cake. Can you believe my cake was served with rasberry sorbet and salmiak egg cream? YUMMMM.

Lopuksi mentiin Fransmanniin syömään. Pääruoaksi otin härkää ja jälkkäriksi suklaakakkua. Parasta oli että kakku tarjottiin vadelma sorbetin ja salmiakki kerman kanssa!

Well sadly my shopping part didn't end up that well. I didn't find shoes or the jumper I wanted, but atleast I got some cosmetics from Lumene. I bought old good cleaning foam and also first time trying Lumene's day and night creams, till now they work as my skin feels great allready! Also found some lipsticks for the Valentine's day.

Shoppailun puolesta reissu ei oikein onnistunutkaan. Päädyin kuitenkin kokeilemaan Lumenen päivä- ja yövoidetta sekä nappasin uuden purkin hyväksi todettua puhdistus geeliä. Lisäksi vielä löysin pari huulipunaa ystävän päiväksi.

Today is other shopping day! I really want to find my shoes! So Happy Valentine's day for you all, I'm off!
